Meet Sneha

Welcome to my HeARTwork.

About Sneha Agarwal

Sneha is a contemporary Artist based out of Seattle. Painting is a spiritual process for Sneha. At the same time, Sneha’s paintings also define her personality, her perspectives as well as her politics. It involves deep introspection and connection to her inner self. For her, this journey is a form of meditation, a way to explore and express her spirituality. The act of creating becomes a dialogue between her and the canvas, a space where the spirit can emerge and take form.

In the darkest hours of the pandemic, when life felt uncertain and hopeless, She began a journey of transformation. She transformed her pain into power and healed herself from that time through Transcendent meditations. She channeled her creative practice, by depicting those spiritual practices through Abstract Art.

She created a series of Semi Abstracts of women and the experiences she had during her meditations. Since then she has never looked back. She continues to meditate to get beyond herself and explores art to express those transcending moments through Abstract Art. It signifies the human emotions of ecstasy, wholeness when connecting with a higher power during these practices.

This process is not always easy. It requires vulnerability and courage to delve into one's soul and express what is found there. Yet, it is through this vulnerability that the most powerful and moving pieces of art are created. These works can touch the hearts of viewers, inviting them to join the artist on their spiritual journey.

About me.jpg

A feminist and lover of nature, Sneha’s paintings are inspired by the power of nature and its connections to human life. She believes that Nature is a part of us in our being and we reflect its elements in various facets of our lives and that everyone is a part of a connected cosmic system - part earth & sea, wind & fire, with some salt & dust swimming in them. We have a universe within ourselves that mimics the universe outside. She loves to paint figurative forms depicting human emotions with elements of nature like the Sun (fire), Ocean (water), Mountain (Earth), Air, spirit & soul.

Sneha is also endlessly fascinated by the female form. Conveying the strength and depth of a woman’s persona through her paintings creatively satisfies her soul. This is why one mainly finds female forms in her paintings. Each of her work reflects her thoughts and inspiration. One cannot think of spoken language to understand a painting, it has to be experienced. Each painting has a story and an emotion to say. In her latest series, “Elements that defines a Woman’s soul”, she explores elements of nature that spiritually embodies a Woman’s soul & spirit.

This spiritual journey goes beyond the surface, inviting viewers to connect on a deeper level and experience the profound impact that art can have on the soul.Best place to see her latest artwork and follow her journey is on her Instagram at @snehaagarwal_art.

Sneha's artistic influences stream from Spirituality, meditations, books, artists like Shakespeare, Michelangelo, Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picasso, Banksy, Andy Worhol, Jackson Pollock, Da Vinci, Kandinsky, Rothko, Gustav Klimt, and many more.

Note from Sneha

My journey with painting started when she was only 10 years old. As I began having fun with colours, my parents noticed my zeal for art and helped me understand the basic concepts of drawing and painting by enrolling her into a small art school. As I recall my early days, the happiest part of my childhood remains my relationship with art.
However, I have played multi-faceted roles - as a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and in leading positions at top MNCs, which at times has left me with very little time to pursue my passion for the arts amidst the corporate hustle. While working in the corporate world for over past 14 years, I have kept up with my intuitive desire to pursue art which was my childhood dream. I began painting alongside my high-profile corporate job and my love for painting has only grown stronger ever since. Realizing that the only way to pursue my passion was to add extra hours to the day. I spent my evenings after work playing with colors. It is this time during the weekdays and most of the weekend that transports me to another spectacular world of endless possibilities and fantasies.
Hope you enjoy my heARTwork and it connects with you on a deeper level, evokes memories, stir emotions, and inspire you too!
